Ice bag vs Ice pack?
Ice bags are good if you have a ready supply of ice cubes that can be use to fill the bag. As the ice bag is filled with individual ice cubes it will mould to certain body parts more easily that a frozen ice pack. However, if you do not have an ice cube machine then an ice pack may be more convenient.
How long should I apply ice for?
Ice can be applied for around 15 minutes depending on the injury and can be applied every hour in the early stages of an injury where the aim is to reduce pain and swelling.
