What is Inflammation of the Biceps Tendon?
This injury is most common in two groups of people - weightlifters and students. In weightlifters, the injury is usually caused by excessive amounts of weight or repetitions in bicep curls. In students, it is often caused by frequent writing. The Biceps Tendon inserts into the inside of the elbow, and overuse can cause it to become swollen.
Symptoms of Bicep Tendon Inflammation
- Thickening and redness over the biceps tendon
- Pain or discomfort when bending the elbow against resistance
- Pain or discomfort in the elbow when writing
