What is a Plantar fascia strain?

The band that runs from under the heel to the front of the foot is known as the plantar fascia or arch ligament. Ruptures and strains of this ligament are quite common and maybe the result of a single trauma or may appear over time.

  • A partial rupture may be indicated by a nodule or lump in the plantar fascia.
