Causes of Inflammation at the Clavicle

A number of muscles, including the pectoralis major, attach to the collar bone (clavicle) via tendons. These tendons can become inflamed if they are overused. This injury is most common in sports bowlers.

Symptoms of Inflammation at the Clavicle

  • Pain and stiffness along the collar bone
  • Pain that radiates into the front of the neck

Please see the Virtual Sports Injury Clinic for more information on how to treat Inflamed muscles at the Clavicle
