Sterno-Clavicular Dislocation | Products | Rehabilitation

What is a Sterno-Clavicular injury?

The clavicle (collar bone) meets the sternum (breast bone) in the middle of the chest, at the top. If the shoulder is subjected to hard impact, this joint can become damaged. This is quite a rare injury, but if you suspect it you should seek medical attention due to the location of several near blood vessels.

Symptoms

  • Pain when you press the joint
  • Pain radiating into the shoulder
  • May be a visible bony lump
