Inversion Tables

Inversion therapy is a popular method of relieving the pain from certain back injuries and conditions. Inversion was used as early as 400 BC when Hippocrates (the father of medicine) first watched a patient hoisted upside down on a ladder for a dose of 'spinal traction'. Inversion can help with back but but also has a number of other health benefits and can help reverse the effects of aging on the spine. Teeter Inversion products are the highest quality products available.

Inversion Tables advice

Inversion therapy is a form of treatment which allows you to apply traction to the spine in the comfort of your own home. It can be beneficial for a wide range of back pain conditions, as traction helps to de-compress the spine and reduce pressure on structures such as the discs, joints and ligaments of the spine.

In acute, or new back pain problems it is advisable to invert twice a day to help improve your symptoms. For those looking to simply maintain spinal health, with no current back pain, at least twice a week is recommended.

In most cases, inversion therapy is very safe, although we always recommend checking with your Doctor or care provider before you try it! Contraindications (reasons why you shouldn’t invert) include pregnancy; hernia; retinal detachment; recent stroke; heart or circulatory problems; osteoporosis; unhealed fractures; anti-coagulant medications and ear infections.
