The McDavid 199R ankle support is a lightweight laced ankle brace. Offers maximum protection for ankle sprains and instability. This McDavid ankle support is an excellent alternative to taping.

Has metal springs sewn into the material down the sides to provide additional lateral support helping to prevent sideways or lateral movement of the ankle whilst allowing normal movement.

The McDavid 1999 is suitable for moderate to severe ankle sprains and injuries,  preventing injury to weak or unstable ankles and providing support for chronic weak ankles. 

Great for all sports, especially football, tennis, netball etc where lateral support is important.

The tighter the brace, the more support it gives. It has two layers of breathable nylon/vinyl mesh fabric, a padded internal lining, notched front, and elastic heel and tongue and a sewn in arch support.
